UPDATE
January 23, 2009
I just finished submitting my manuscript.
It is now in the hands of the publishers.
February 19, 2009
I have just received the I-Universe Editorial Review
I have some work to do, overall I am pleased with the results
March 27, 2009
I have resubmitted the manuscript after reading the editorial evaluation. It is back in the hands of the publishers, moving forward once again... :-)
April 6, 2009
I just spent about a half hour on the phone with the my editorial consoltant. I can pay to have the book actually edited, so much per word, which comes to about $1,000 they edit and I can approve or reject any edit suggestions. I can also pay additional to have it proof read, which comes to about $300 more. I don't know that I can afford to do these, I would love to and I think it is worth it. I am going to think about it for a few days... She is emailing me more information also. By the end of the week I plan to be onto the next step one way or another.

Man Made Monkey
Freedom laughs at me.
Vanity laughs at you.
Shouting out words.
Verbally abusing you.
Mentally violent and a bit spunky.
I am a man made monkey.
Insanity hides in me.
Humanity hides in you.
The look in my eyes.
Is confusing you.
Let's go crazy and get funky.
I am a man made monkey.
Scars inside me.
Pain inside you.
Speed is the fastest way.
Forever losing you.
Hold tight to the adrenaline junkie.
I am a man made monkey.
Vanity laughs at you.
Shouting out words.
Verbally abusing you.
Mentally violent and a bit spunky.
I am a man made monkey.
Insanity hides in me.
Humanity hides in you.

Is confusing you.

Scars inside me.
Pain inside you.

Forever losing you.
Hold tight to the adrenaline junkie.
I am a man made monkey.

Behind the Glasses
If you could only see,
Behind the glasses,
Deep into my eyes...
This is how it would be:
Your body fills with me,
As each moment passes,
Deep scars and cries.
Each word you read,
Takes your deeper, deeper
Even behind my eyes.
You'll laugh, cry,
You'll ponder and sigh.
The more you read,
All the more I am there.
Bits and pieces of my life
Written on paper.
If you read the first sixty-some,
I am no longer a stranger.
As you continue to read
As each poem passes
You read my soul
Behind the Glasses.
Behind the glasses,
Deep into my eyes...
This is how it would be:
Your body fills with me,
As each moment passes,
Deep scars and cries.
Each word you read,
Takes your deeper, deeper
Even behind my eyes.
You'll laugh, cry,
You'll ponder and sigh.
The more you read,
All the more I am there.
Bits and pieces of my life
Written on paper.
If you read the first sixty-some,
I am no longer a stranger.
As you continue to read
As each poem passes
You read my soul
Behind the Glasses.
