IF I... WOULD YOU?

If I wrote a poem...
would you read it?
If I wrote a song...
would you sing it?
If I made a path...
would you follow it?
If I made a kite...
would you fly it?
If I spoke from the heart...
would you feel it?
If I spoke of happiness...
would you see it?
If I was a clown...
would you laugh at me?
If I were you...
would you be me?
If I built a clock...
would you make time for me?
If I built a dream...
would you share it with me?

Unfortunately this was written to an ex. we faced a lot of similar hardships that gave us a special bond. that's all. outside of that it was lies and more hardship.

Isn't that the question on everyones' minds?? Will you be what I need you to be for me?? But that is impossible. Feelings are severed between two people for a reason. And no one ever feels exactly the same as another at the exact same time. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just crawl into each others' minds and be truly connected?...

The most important two lines in this, which is what it is all based around is... Thinking of two people in a relationship.

If I were you...
Would you be me?

think about anyone that you are with, was with, or want to be with. And think, if they became me, that leaves me free to be anyone I want, but in order to remain together, you must become them. Is it a sacrifice or not? I guess it is to really make you think. What do I really think of them... And it is not to be yourself in their body, it is to BE them, whatever and whoever they are...

The other twist, is if you are to think of you as being them, it is an opportunity to look at yourself from another person's perspective. Why do they like me so much...

And from a single perspective, this is about are you willing are you willing to accept or try things with me in general. I know specifics are listed, but that is to show the broad spectrum, of what could be accomplished.

As far as crawling into each others minds, hmmm, we might just turn and run like hell. lol Thanks for the comments.

your words are sweet on paper, try that with your current life. Think of how you make people feel with your what you say.

Open your mind up a little and you might find the love your seeking.
Or is it being alone that drives you to write. If you don't take a little leap of faith you might miss the best love of your life. So unlock the locks to your heart and let someone in..

My life is as open as I write. And of course everything is subject to change.

I write because I enjoy it, even though english was my worst subject in school.

For me a lot of it is overcoming my biggest weakness. To open up and to write. By sharing this with everyone and doing it fairly well. I am overcoming both.

I feel finding the love a person needs aand wants is all in whom you meet and the two of you taking the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to get to know each other !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one is perfect but you must find a closeness and some type of friendship firendship is important in a partnership and it takes life time of together to become almost one

To anonymous, just to clarify a little better.
The words I have on paper, I do try to apply to my current life.
Think of how you make people feel with what you say. I am not sure what you mean here. Do you know me personally? or strictly related to the writing. Read ONE DAY, that is about how everyone effects each other. Do I know how I affect people no. Do you know how you affect me? no, that is all interpretaion.

Open my mind up a little and you might find the love you seeking? Again it sounds like you THINK you know me. However, I am more open in what I write than most people ever are with themselves. Maybe you do know me.

Is it being alone that drives me to write? No, most of what I have wrote is based on real emotion from or during real relationships. Surprised?

Take a leap of faith? If I leap anymore, I will have tadpoles instead of children.

Sad though this is what we look for in the people we love. We can't always get it all, sometimes we don't get a thing
